With the release of the full length Take the Blame album, Junk Science brings takes of the best parts of a few classic genres to breed a sound familiar, but still their own. Lush with heavy melodic guitar progressions, an alternative yet soulful vocal approach, and a steady metal undertone , the record boasts the aesthetic of alternative rock anthems.

The first single, “Perfect Time” pulls you in with is hard hitting, high energy riffs, followed by it’s addicting vocal melodies and building harmonies, and a chorus that never leaves your head. All this along with the songs ability to breathe as it plays on, a quality found in most tracks on the album.

MORE ABOUT JUNK SCIENCE

Junk Science came from its first two original members, Taylor Hardin, and Steven Meyers. The two would get together and write songs before the full band came to fruition. After a short time, the duo picked up drummer Rodney Griffin and things really started to pick up fast. Once they grabbed bassist John Howard, the lineup was complete. After working together on performances, the group had enough material to lay down a full length record. It was then that Take the Blame was finally born. The record is a testament to where they are at with their sound right now.
